Design & Style

Sylemere introduces an interwoven form to Timberustic’s collection of handcrafted Vessel Sinks. Broad, overlapping bands sweep around the exterior, crossing and folding into a substantial oval silhouette. Their layered movement contrasts with the open basin, giving the sink a clear sculpted identity from every visible side.

The asymmetric band arrangement changes in depth around the vessel, with some sections rising toward the rim while others wrap beneath them. A continuous upper edge contains the composition and gives the basin a grounded, functional outline. This balance of intricate exterior shaping and a calm oval opening makes Sylemere a strong focal point without relying on added ornament.

Material & Craftsmanship

Visible wood grain travels across the basin interior and around the interwoven exterior bands, shifting in direction as each section curves and overlaps. Tonal variation follows these contours, emphasizing the depth of the sculpted body and distinguishing the individual layers. The smooth-looking surface sheen further reveals the grain movement across the rounded interior.

Each Sylemere sink is handcrafted and made to order by Timberustic. Custom sizing allows the piece to be planned for an individual vanity arrangement while retaining its defining oval basin and layered exterior composition.

Function & Features

• Above-counter vessel format keeps the sculpted exterior visible.
• Broad oval opening provides a clearly defined washing basin.
• Rounded interior transitions into a continuous raised rim.
• Interwoven exterior bands create depth around the full profile.

The open form is suited to a vanity layout where the vessel can remain visually prominent.

Usage & Placement

Sylemere is suited to a primary bathroom, guest bathroom, or powder room where the countertop can frame its layered silhouette. Place it on a restrained stone, concrete, or softly textured vanity surface to create contrast with the active grain and overlapping exterior bands.

A wall-mounted faucet can preserve open counter space around the vessel, while a deck-mounted fixture may be positioned with enough clearance to keep the sculpted rim unobstructed. Simple tilework and warm metal fixtures can complement the sink without competing with its detailed form.

🌿 Where to Place It

• For indoor use: Set your furniture on a flat, dry floor away from direct sunlight, heaters, or overly humid spots. Use blinds or curtains to gently filter light and preserve the natural finish.
• For outdoor use: Position pieces on solid, well-drained surfaces like patios or wooden decks. Avoid placing them directly on soil, and always use a furniture cover when not in use to protect from rain and moisture.

🧼 How to Keep It Clean

• Wipe with a soft cloth on a regular basis — dry or lightly damp is best.
• Skip the harsh stuff: no bleach, ammonia, or abrasive sprays. They can damage the protective layer and even the wood underneath.

💪 Use with Care

• Respect the load limits for each item — overloading may weaken the structure or shorten its lifespan.
• When moving your furniture, lift rather than slide to prevent scratches or stress on the joints.

🌬️ Guarding Against Moisture & Mildew

• Wipe away spills quickly to prevent water from seeping into the wood.
• If you're in a humid area, a small dehumidifier can help prevent mold and mildew buildup over time.
