Design & Style

Eldervane joins Timberustic’s collection with an asymmetrical desk composition built around two contrasting supports. One end rises from a sculpted branch-shaped base, where interlacing limbs create open spaces beneath the desktop. The opposite end rests on a substantial enclosed pedestal with three vertically stacked drawers.

A broad rectangular top brings visual order to the expressive base. Along its front, an irregular live edge forms a textured border that stands apart from the flatter working surface. The combination of open branching structure and grounded drawer storage gives the desk a strong directional presence without making both sides visually identical.

Material & Craftsmanship

Visible grain travels across the desktop, drawer fronts, pedestal panels and branching support, creating continuity between the desk’s functional and decorative elements. The live edge carries a darker, irregular contour, while the branch base features pronounced grooves and rounded junctions that emphasize its three-dimensional shaping.

Eldervane is handcrafted and made to order by Timberustic. Custom sizing allows its proportions to be adapted for the intended workspace while retaining the defining arrangement of a live edge top, sculpted branch support and drawer pedestal.

Function & Features

• Three stacked drawers provide enclosed storage for papers, stationery and everyday work items.
• The broad desktop accommodates writing, computer work and study materials.
• An enclosed pedestal supports one side while consolidating storage beneath the work surface.
• The open branch-shaped base keeps the opposite side visually lighter and leaves its sculpted structure in view.

The contrasting bases combine practical organization with a distinctive front-facing profile.

Usage & Placement

Eldervane is suited to a dedicated home office, private study or creative studio where its branch base can remain visible from the room. Positioning the sculpted end toward an open walkway allows the interlacing form to be appreciated, while the drawer pedestal can sit closer to shelving or a wall.

For a library-style workspace, pair the desk with restrained seating and keep decorative objects concentrated near the pedestal side. In an open-plan office, the live edge can face outward to establish a clear visual boundary between the work area and surrounding room.

🌿 Where to Place It

• For indoor use: Set your furniture on a flat, dry floor away from direct sunlight, heaters, or overly humid spots. Use blinds or curtains to gently filter light and preserve the natural finish.
• For outdoor use: Position pieces on solid, well-drained surfaces like patios or wooden decks. Avoid placing them directly on soil, and always use a furniture cover when not in use to protect from rain and moisture.

🧼 How to Keep It Clean

• Wipe with a soft cloth on a regular basis — dry or lightly damp is best.
• Skip the harsh stuff: no bleach, ammonia, or abrasive sprays. They can damage the protective layer and even the wood underneath.

💪 Use with Care

• Respect the load limits for each item — overloading may weaken the structure or shorten its lifespan.
• When moving your furniture, lift rather than slide to prevent scratches or stress on the joints.

🌬️ Guarding Against Moisture & Mildew

• Wipe away spills quickly to prevent water from seeping into the wood.
• If you're in a humid area, a small dehumidifier can help prevent mold and mildew buildup over time.
