Design & Style

Cortessa joins Timberustic’s collection of Vessel Sinks with a broad, rounded basin framed by a substantial irregular rim. Its low, weighty silhouette presents the sink as a defined element above the vanity, while the asymmetric perimeter keeps the composition from feeling mechanically uniform.

Two contrasting treatments shape its character: a smooth, gently sloping bowl and a rugged outer wall with deep bark-like texture. Visible grain sweeps around the rim and into the basin, drawing attention toward the recessed center while preserving the expressive outline.

Material & Craftsmanship

The surface displays pronounced grain movement, tonal variation and small character marks across the broad upper rim. Around the exterior, coarse ridges and uneven contours create a strong tactile appearance, while the basin interior is visually smooth and continuous.

Each Timberustic piece is handcrafted and made to order. Custom sizing allows Cortessa to be planned in relation to the intended vanity surface while retaining its rounded basin, substantial rim and textured outer profile.

Function & Features

• Raised vessel format creates a defined basin above the vanity surface.
• Rounded recessed bowl provides a focused washing area.
• Broad irregular rim highlights the surrounding grain pattern.
• Smooth interior contrasts with the deeply textured outer wall.

The compact visual footprint suits vanity arrangements where the basin is intended to remain prominent.

Usage & Placement

Cortessa is well suited to a powder room, guest bathroom or primary bathroom vanity where surface texture can become part of the room’s material palette. Its pronounced exterior works especially well against quieter countertop finishes that allow the irregular perimeter to remain visible.

For a composed vanity setting, pair it with a restrained faucet profile, a simple wall mirror and minimal countertop accessories. Dark fixtures can sharpen the contrast around the warm grain, while stone or subtly textured surfaces can create a softer, layered bathroom scheme. Allow visual space around the uneven rim so its silhouette can be appreciated from multiple angles.

🌿 Where to Place It

• For indoor use: Set your furniture on a flat, dry floor away from direct sunlight, heaters, or overly humid spots. Use blinds or curtains to gently filter light and preserve the natural finish.
• For outdoor use: Position pieces on solid, well-drained surfaces like patios or wooden decks. Avoid placing them directly on soil, and always use a furniture cover when not in use to protect from rain and moisture.

🧼 How to Keep It Clean

• Wipe with a soft cloth on a regular basis — dry or lightly damp is best.
• Skip the harsh stuff: no bleach, ammonia, or abrasive sprays. They can damage the protective layer and even the wood underneath.

💪 Use with Care

• Respect the load limits for each item — overloading may weaken the structure or shorten its lifespan.
• When moving your furniture, lift rather than slide to prevent scratches or stress on the joints.

🌬️ Guarding Against Moisture & Mildew

• Wipe away spills quickly to prevent water from seeping into the wood.
• If you're in a humid area, a small dehumidifier can help prevent mold and mildew buildup over time.
