Design & Style

Calyra joins Timberustic’s collection with a broad, rectangular silhouette shaped around a deep oval basin. Four lifted corners sweep upward from the rim, giving the sink a poised, architectural profile while framing the curved interior. The contrast between the angular outer footprint and the rounded basin creates a strong focal point without relying on added ornament.

The front and side walls curve outward beneath the rim, lending visible depth to the form. From above, the extended corner planes reveal long grain movement before descending into the basin, making the surface pattern an integral part of the design.

Material & Craftsmanship

Visible grain travels continuously across the rim, interior bowl, and outer walls, shifting from long linear markings to dense, swirling figures around the basin. Tonal variation emphasizes the carved depth and gives each plane a distinct visual rhythm.

Calyra is handcrafted and made to order by Timberustic. The rounded interior, gently rolled edges, and carefully shaped corner transitions reflect a form developed in three dimensions rather than a conventional straight-sided basin. Custom sizing allows the piece to be planned for an individual vanity setting.

Function & Features

• Deep oval basin provides a defined central washing area.
• Centered drain opening supports a balanced basin layout.
• Broad rim extends into four raised, sculpted corners.
• Countertop vessel format keeps the full outer profile visible.
• Smoothly curved interior guides the eye toward the drain.

Its open vessel form pairs practical basin use with a highly expressive vanity presence.

Usage & Placement

Calyra is suited to a bathroom vanity where the sink can remain visually prominent, whether used as a single centerpiece or specified for a coordinated double-vanity arrangement. Its wide profile works especially well with an open countertop and a wall-mounted or tall vessel faucet that leaves the raised rim unobstructed.

Pair the richly patterned surface with quiet stone, plaster, or restrained tile to keep attention on the basin’s grain and lifted corners. Matte black fixtures create crisp contrast, while warm metal finishes can reinforce the deeper tones running through the surface.

🌿 Where to Place It

• For indoor use: Set your furniture on a flat, dry floor away from direct sunlight, heaters, or overly humid spots. Use blinds or curtains to gently filter light and preserve the natural finish.
• For outdoor use: Position pieces on solid, well-drained surfaces like patios or wooden decks. Avoid placing them directly on soil, and always use a furniture cover when not in use to protect from rain and moisture.

🧼 How to Keep It Clean

• Wipe with a soft cloth on a regular basis — dry or lightly damp is best.
• Skip the harsh stuff: no bleach, ammonia, or abrasive sprays. They can damage the protective layer and even the wood underneath.

💪 Use with Care

• Respect the load limits for each item — overloading may weaken the structure or shorten its lifespan.
• When moving your furniture, lift rather than slide to prevent scratches or stress on the joints.

🌬️ Guarding Against Moisture & Mildew

• Wipe away spills quickly to prevent water from seeping into the wood.
• If you're in a humid area, a small dehumidifier can help prevent mold and mildew buildup over time.
