Design & Style

Brontara joins the Timberustic collection with a deep circular bowl framed by a rugged, irregular surround. The smoothly shaped interior contrasts with the pronounced ridges, fissures and projecting contours around the outside, giving the sink a grounded silhouette with substantial visual depth.

The broad rim varies naturally around the basin rather than following a uniform geometric border. Its rounded interior, low central drain position and heavily textured exterior establish a clear transition from refined washing surface to expressive outer form.

Material & Craftsmanship

Sweeping grain is visible throughout the basin, moving in broad arcs across the interior and revealing shifts in tone around the bowl. Along the outer wall, deep vertical grooves and bark-like textures create a tactile counterpoint to the smoother inner surface.

Each Brontara sink is handcrafted and made to order by Timberustic. Custom sizing allows the proportions to be tailored to the intended vanity or countertop while retaining the defining round basin and rugged perimeter.

Function & Features

• Deep rounded bowl provides a defined washing area.
• Smooth interior slopes toward the central drain position.
• Above-counter vessel format keeps the textured outer profile visible.
• Broad irregular surround gives the sink a substantial countertop presence.

The contrasting surfaces make the functional basin easy to distinguish within the expressive outer form.

Usage & Placement

Brontara is suited to a bathroom vanity or powder-room countertop where its complete silhouette can remain visible. Allowing open space around the perimeter helps the irregular edge and vertical exterior texture read clearly from several angles.

Pair it with a simple stone, concrete or restrained vanity surface to keep attention on the grain and rugged outline. A streamlined wall-mounted or deck-mounted faucet can provide a crisp visual counterpoint to the sink’s deeply textured form.

🌿 Where to Place It

• For indoor use: Set your furniture on a flat, dry floor away from direct sunlight, heaters, or overly humid spots. Use blinds or curtains to gently filter light and preserve the natural finish.
• For outdoor use: Position pieces on solid, well-drained surfaces like patios or wooden decks. Avoid placing them directly on soil, and always use a furniture cover when not in use to protect from rain and moisture.

🧼 How to Keep It Clean

• Wipe with a soft cloth on a regular basis — dry or lightly damp is best.
• Skip the harsh stuff: no bleach, ammonia, or abrasive sprays. They can damage the protective layer and even the wood underneath.

💪 Use with Care

• Respect the load limits for each item — overloading may weaken the structure or shorten its lifespan.
• When moving your furniture, lift rather than slide to prevent scratches or stress on the joints.

🌬️ Guarding Against Moisture & Mildew

• Wipe away spills quickly to prevent water from seeping into the wood.
• If you're in a humid area, a small dehumidifier can help prevent mold and mildew buildup over time.
