Sizing and carving: where the craft actually lives
The beauty of a carved sink is that it looks natural, but it’s not casual work. It has rules.
Minimum thickness for an integrated carved sink: 3.5”
That thickness is what gives the workshop enough material to carve the basin while keeping strength and longevity.
Default carved sink zone: 20”W × 15”D × 3.5” (carved area)

When customers ask for the deepest carve possible, we carve down while still leaving about ~1” of material under the basin floor. That last inch is the difference between “looks good today” and “holds up beautifully for years.”
We also keep the round basin edge comfortably off the wall-side edge (typically around ~2”), because a sink that hugs the wall too tightly becomes annoying to use and harder to clean.
Drain and faucet holes: what we drill by default
We can pre-drill to make installation cleaner and faster.

Finish and daily care: built for bathroom humidity
Wood in a bathroom is only a problem when the finish is weak.
Our standard finish approach for this line uses PU matte combined with oil treatment, plus anti-mold protection.
